1. Download the firmware file from here and unzip the same on desktop.

2. Then place the resulted files on the same folder as Android SDK or Fastboot.

3. Turn off your phone.

4. Press and hold Volume Up button and while doing so connect your Xperia L with your computer – fastboot mode will be then displayed.

5. Go to the Android SDK folder, where you also have the update package.

6. From there open a command prompt window: press and hold Shift keyboard key while right clicking on any blank space.

7. On the cmd window type the following commands (press enter after each one): “fastboot flash boot boot.img.”, “fastboot flash system system.img” and “fastboot flash userdata userdata.img”.

8. In the end, once the installation process ends, on the cmd windoy type “reboot”.

9. If a boot loop is caused, enter your Android device in recovery mode. From recovery select “wipe data factory reset” and “wipe cache partition”. Finally, from main menu of recovery pick “reboot system now”.
