I've recently started experiencing the sudden shutdown/restart at 20% battery that so many here have complained about for years. But this is with my HTC 10, which I've not noticed reported before. The battery drain is extremely fast, too. I experienced these same problems on my M8, making the last 6 months of my ownership of that phone incredibly annoying... So I'm beyond disappointed that it looks like I have to deal with it again until my 2 years is up with this phone, and I can upgrade.

I've loved everything about this phone, and I've only ever owned HTC devices (Incredible, Incredible 4G, M8, 10), but I think this is the last straw for me, and my next device will be from another manufacturer. It's sad to say that, but if a many-hundred dollar device can't operate properly after only 18 months, then I can't keep supporting the company which makes it.

Just wanted to warn other 10 owners that your phones will likely soon be pissing you off...

I'm with you completely. It was a tough ride at the end with my M8. I was hoping this would change in the 10 but it hasn't.

I play shutoff roulette every time the phone hits 30%. It seems to shutoff when I get a call or text. It wouldn't be so bad if the battery was (easily) replaceable.

I have loved my HTC phones but I'm done. I will never buy another HTC product. I'm due for a new phone so now I have to start searching.

SAME HERE! I lost ALL of my  DATA on my M9, one day it decided to bootloop and it was an eMMc error. Couldn't fix it. Fucking unacceptable. Let's hope Samsung doesn't betray me, or burn me as hard.

When this happened on my m8 all I had to do was reset the battery logic and it was fixed. Did it maybe a few times a year. Maybe you guys can do the same with this one?

Charge your phone completely, power it down, and then hold down volume up, volume down and the power button. After about 10 - 30 seconds, it should power up into a weird bootloader screen. Release the buttons, power back up normally.

If it's anything like what I saw, your "full" battery might now be less than full, and need a few more minutes to actually reach the real full charge.

LOL seriously? I was expecting more from the best HTC phone ever made. It's sad that you will have to replace your battery so soon.
