Switched to Nova launcher on my One M8
« on: May 24, 2018, 09:50:22 AM »
I recently switched to the Nova launcher on my old M8, which I am using because I bricked my Pixel XL. It was slow and laggy and would freeze all the time. I thought this was because the phone was older and running into some issues with ram and heat. So I saw a video about unbox therapy switching the S9 over to the Nova launcher, so I thought I would try it.

So far I have noticed that my browser does not lag, my keyboard has only hiccuped once while writing this, the home screen is snappy and fast. Now I've only had it since last night but I have had my phone unplugged all morning and I would expect it to be at 50-60% and I'm still above 80%. I will continue to use this launcher as I find it to be amazing, it makes my 4-5 year old phone feel brand new. I will update if I start to see issues but so far so good.

TL:DR Nova makes my HTC One M8 feel new again.

Nova is a lifesaver! I'm still rocking my M8 since I got it a month after its release and things are just fine after years of tweaking and a recent switch to Lineage + MicroG.

Despite all the advancement in phones since 2014, it still does just fine for nearly everything I throw at it.

I'll just say that I loved my pixel but this launcher is making it possible for me to wait until the Pixel 3 comes out to upgrade.
