I'm not sure... I think I dropped it on the ground once. But it wasn't major as it was a wooden floor that I dropped it on. Fortunately it wasn't damaged in any way.

I also dropped my Note 2 maybe 3 times on my face. I love using it at night before I sleep and sometimes when I feel very sleepy, I forget that I'm holding it up in front of my face. :D

I could say that with these experiences, the Note 2 is quite durable. :o

Samsung Galaxy / Where's the formula match in S Note?
« on: August 01, 2014, 09:33:44 PM »
I've had my software updated maybe a couple of months ago and I think that the update was pretty good. There was an app that wasn't working before but is now perfectly working after the update. However, I recently checked my S Note and I needed to solve a certain equation. I tried to use formula match and I was surprised that I no longer could not find it! Where did Samsung put  the formula match on the Note 2? Did they remove it completely? Even inserting a clipart is no longer possible in the S Note as I can't find the option... Any help guys?

I checked the game out using the link that you have provided. I browsed the pictures and I figured that it's just not my cup of tea. The graphics look kinda nice but it's a bit too kiddie for my tastes.

Also, based on the pictures that are shown, it appears like the game is a bit too simple. Maybe it's catered towards kids and not adults. I'm no longer a kid and these types of games no longer cut it for me.

This game is so addicting. It's really hard at first and seems  pretty impossible to get that 2048. But when you are playing it for quite a long time, then it will no longer be impossible for you to get that 2048. Personally, I haven't gotten it yet. But I know a lot of people who have, friends, cousins and my sister. I didn't pay much of time doing it, because I rarely have time for entertainment and those people I know who got that are always playing it, even during meal time. And because it's really addicting, I try to restrain myself from even starting a game, otherwise I would forget all the things that I am obliged to do.

Guess what? I reached 2048! Haha!

And I've even gone beyond that. I've reached 4096 too! It's kinda hard to get two 2048 tiles together but a little bit of strategy goes a long way. It kinda gets boring as the game moves along but it's just nice to brag about how far I've reached to my friends who still hasn't seen the coveted 2048 tile.

Samsung Galaxy / Re: Will Samsung Note 4 be a really great device?
« on: June 02, 2014, 10:21:36 PM »
I think that the Note 4 will be an awesome phablet. I'm not too thrilled with what Samsung is doing - they keep on increasing the screen size of the Note line. I believe that the Note 2 nailed it with its 5.5 inch screen.  Still, I'm looking forward to the Note 4 since I know that it will be an extra powerful device.

Oh man, I'm extremely excited. Dragon Quest VIII is now available for Android! I remember playing this on the PS2. It was such a beautiful JRPG. I wasn't able to finish it though. I never even reached its half way because my PS2 broke down. This is now my chance to finally beat the game. It costs 20 bucks and I'll probably purchase it on the 15th. It's one of gaming's best. Do not miss this release.

Haha, my girlfriend also had a hard time trying to grasp the concept. But when she got into it, she got hooked outright. It's quite easy. Just combine the same numbers together and don't get allow the entire square grid to be filled with numbered tiles. That's it. :)

Software Downloads / what's the deal with mobogenie?
« on: June 02, 2014, 06:48:24 PM »
I don't know what the deal with mobogenie is. It's being marketed like crazy - in Adsense ads, in download sites, even in adult sites! Why are there developers going to such great lengths to advertise this? Is this a useful app? I don't think so.

You said it yourself. It's a way to hide text messages when you're cheating on someone. Lol. Aside from that, you can also use a private box for unwanted text messages (messages that you don't want to read). It would come in handy for you someday too hehe.

Last year, my Galaxy Note 2 ran into some charging problems. There came a time when even if the phone was connected to a charger, it was still discharging. My cousin who also had a Note 2 experienced the same problem. We went to a Samsung service center and voiced out our concerns and presented our phones. They said that the problem was caused by a damaged charging pin.

What are the causes of damage to a charging pin?

Software Downloads / Worst games you have played on Android
« on: May 30, 2014, 05:33:01 PM »
I only download games that have high average ratings from users to ensure that what I play is of high quality. But I've also played a couple of bad games that were rated very highly. The best example I could give is Angry Birds. It's such a boring game to play and I can't understand why people love the game.

What other bad games have you played?

You can also try Kobo. It's a market place for eBooks and an eBook reader all rolled into one. Though it's good, I still prefer my eBooks in PDF format. I have a lot of sources where I could download PDF books for free. That's why I just use the Adobe Reader for Android or Polaris Office to open and read PDF books. I can even copy the content and paste them wherever I want, highlight them, and write on them if I use Adobe reader. I think other eBook readers do not allow this right?

Software Downloads / Bag It - a simple, unique and addicting game
« on: May 29, 2014, 10:55:16 PM »
Bag it is a premium puzzle game wherein you try to arrange different items in a shopping bag so that they all would fit. It's a very fun game to play and very challenging too because there are some items that get crushed when you drop them or when you place some heavy items on top of them. Is it worth the purchase? Definitely. You'll be playing this game for hours and you'll always have a great fun time.

If you want to see some walkthrough videos of Bag It, go here:

I bought the Galaxy Note 2 because if its cool features like the S Pen and hover feature and pressure sensitivity. I think that was the main draw for me at first. But now, I seldom use the S Pen because of the limited apps available for it. I'm now more impressed with the powerful processor of the Note 2 and the impressive 5.5 inch screen which makes watching videos and playing games and browsing the web extremely fun.

If there's something that I want, I wish that Samsung would increase the support for S Pen apps.
