Two USB ports is essentially the same thing.

And USB audio is more options. It lets you choose the dac and then the speaker system

I moved to an LG V30 for the audio options and really love it. Ive been an HTC customer forever but no headphone jack = no sale.

So guys  ?
What's a good upgrade from the HTC 10?

Do NOT use a needle!

It would be quite easy to short connectors in both jacks and do damage. Something non-conductive like a toothpick would be ok, as long as you don't leave any of it behind...

Was going to suggest this, as well. Use a needle or toothpick to carefully dig the dust and crap out. Wouldn't hurt to do the charge port while you're down there, too.

I will. Thanks!

This will sound dumb but check to see if your jack is full of dust. My 10 got gunked up at some point and it would mess up the connection since the connector wouldn't insert all the way

Weird. If it's the phone, it will likely be the software controller on the audio jack.

Try installing Soundabout to override stock audio mixing...this has been a fix for other HTC 10 users with similar problems.
