Do you hide the navigation bar or show it?
« on: April 14, 2018, 12:20:23 AM »
Do you guys hide the navigation bar and keep swiping whenever you need it, or do you use some kind of an app like "edge gestures" or do you have it shown at all times?

I've always showed it since I use the back button frequently, so it gets annoying to have to swipe and press it every time

I remapped the Bixby button to be a back button. It's quite nice.

What did you use? I tried a couple apps when the phone came out but they weren't ideal.

You can also press & hold the 3D home button and slide in the direction of the back button to activate it, same thing the other way to bring up the app switcher. Took me a lot of practice to get right, but well worth it as I'm running in full immersion mode using ADB to activate it.

Oh cool! I'll try that for a bit and see how it feels. What's ADB?

Hidden, only comes out when I have the keyboard up or in the recent apps page

I just started using edge gestures and really like it, it’s made the experience of using the phone a lot better. I have the nav bar hidden through the double click thing on the side, I'll probably try to disable it completely though

Is it the one literally called "edge gestures"? Just installed it and liking it so far. Gonna keep it simple with back as swipe from left and recent apps as swipe from right.

Yup, that's the one. Mine is pretty simple too. I have also have swipe from left as back, along with swipe up from bottom or slide from right to left along bottom to go home, hold left edge for recent apps and double tap left edge to switch to most recent last app.Was well worth the $1.50ish IMO.

Hidden. I don't want to see any navigation bar or notification bar unless its some kind of emergency notification. so I have muted almost all kind of notifications and hide my navigation bar.
