Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary problem
« on: May 23, 2014, 01:04:41 PM »
I have installed the Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary last month to complement Merriam-Webster Dictionary. It's a cool dictionary that functions more like an encyclopedia. It even has some pictures to show and gives additional information rather than just give you the definition.

Now on to the problem. I've just updated my phone to the latest Android version - Kitkat - yesterday. And when I opened the Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary a while ago, it said that I should re-download the contents of the app, all 451mb of it! Why???

I am not sure of this, but I think when you updated, you Android, the some apps were not covered. I mean it's like reformatting you device again. So almost all the past data would have to be deleted, or be left-behind. I think it's not going to take a lot of time to re-download, so you just probably have to do it then. Besides, you got nothing else to do.  :D
