So I broke my wifi adapter on my PC, and am waiting for one to come in the mail, I plugged it in and used my hotspot, but I only get 10 Gb before it slows to 512 kbps. Is there anyway it can use my wifi and act as a wifi adapter for my PC? I have an s9. Thanks for the help!

Android OS / Re: How to completely reset a tablet?

so if a ROM install via ODIN didn't fix the slowdown problem, then factory reset probably wouldn't do anything different except that I also lose my data? What I'm trying to erase/reset are those memory settings that you can tweak with certain rooted apps - it was a few years ago so I don't really recall exactly what I was tweaking. I think it was related to at what memory levels apps are killed but I'm not completely sure, I think there were 2 or 3 different settings tweakable related to this.

External SD card will be untouched. Everything in phone memory will go.
What ROM will it use? The latest installed?

So it will wipe even my non os data like media files? On the main sd card? What about the external SD card is that untouched?

Android OS / How to completely reset a tablet?

I have a Samsung note pro 12.1. it was a high end device when I purchased it several years ago. The take away here is it has 3gb which I think should still be sufficient to have a decent Android experience.

Problem is somehow I messed it up and there can be super extremely long painful pauses. Long enough you want to throw the tablet against the wall. If memory is completely cleared by closing all the apps then it becomes better for a short while.

I'm thinking maybe the problem is due to me messing with the memory settings when I had it rooted long ago. There are apps where you can change various memory settings when rooted.

Since then I've updated the tablet several times and even I think did it a few times when triggered with that software for flashing ROMs.

BUT it never actually was clean, my apps would still be there and so would this problem.

How can I reset it doing a clean install? I would prefer not to have to download any rom and install it over USB if I don't have to but if that's the only way then I'll do that too.

Any suggestions how I can do this? Thanks

The S7 will get Oreo if you donít have it already and you love the phone. Why change if you love it?
I love it, but it gives me problems. It lags a lot. That's my biggest complaint.

The Essential phone looks amazing. It seems like the sale is over though, on Amazon. I'm thinking of buying it though.

I currently have the Galaxy S7. I love it, but I'm thinking of switching to another phone.

I can spend about $300-$350 on something. I'm open to any brands, even Samsung. Something with a good camera is a must. Any suggestions?

Nokia really needs to get this bootloader unlock thing sorted out otherwise i'd agree with you.

Yeah, me too. G5 plus is punching way above its pay grade still. People keep clamoring for an update to oreo, but in reality this device is doing everything I need. Happy with going another year with it.

I'm probably going for the Nokia 6.1 next time around.
