News and Rumors / Re: Beware of Pokemon Go
« on: June 05, 2017, 05:00:53 AM »
While the recently released, and now viral, augmented-reality smartphone game, Pokemon Go, continues to spread like wildfire -- exceeding both Snapchat and Twitter in terms of daily active users -- it raises a couple serious security questions about which its users may wish to learn.

1. Pokemon Go requires users to login using Google credentials. (Theoretically, one can also use a Pokemon website login, but, perhaps due to the overwhelming traffic load that the site likely faced since the launch of Pokemon Go, the Pokemon site is not accepting new signups, so, unless you are an existing user of the site, you must use a Google login).

Smart Watch (All Models) / Re: Would you buy the Apple Watch?
« on: June 05, 2017, 04:57:26 AM »
Whether you should get an Apple Watch or not comes down to how compelling any of the main features are for your lifestyle, either by themselves or when combined together. Those features include not only timekeeping but health and fitness tracking, notifications and communications, Apple Pay and HomeKit automation.

Put simply: The Apple Watch is the shuttlecraft to the iPhone's starship. Most of what you can do on Watch you can also do on iPhone ó but not as conveniently. And convenience can be a killer feature.

Android OS / Re: Entertainment through an android tablet
« on: June 05, 2017, 04:55:02 AM »

I don't remember the names of any other I've read, just that they are all cheap, and you'll get what you paid for.  Now, post CES, there are many options coming out with Android 3.0 Honey Comb and at least on the OS end it's looking good.  the Motorola Xoom has been getting favorable mentions, LG, Acer, and others have all announced Tegra 2 powered tablets as well.  If you haven't already jumped I'd wait and see what happens 1 and 2nd quarter of this year.

Motorola Moto / Re: Moto Z2
« on: June 05, 2017, 04:53:35 AM »
Hidden among this modular hype was one of the best smartphones made last year: the midrange Moto Z Play. It wasnít the flashiest phone, didnít have the fastest processor or best camera, and didnít have the highest-resolution display. It did have the best battery life you could get in any smartphone, and the rest of its components were good enough that the overall package was greater than the sum of its parts. The Z Play was easily the sleeper hit of 2016 (and one of my favorite phones of all time), even if you didnít care one bit about its modular capabilities.
This yearís version, the $499 Moto Z2 Play, available unlocked and through Verizon this summer, attempts to improve upon the first versionís weaknesses without losing the charm that made the original so appealing. Itís much thinner, much lighter, has a better camera, and comes with a refined design and a handful of new software features. It also works with all of the Mods Motorola has released ó battery packs, projectors, cameras, speakers, and so on ó and will release this year. The new phone basically a blend of the 2016 Z Play and the higher end Moto Z, with a price that sits between them.

Software Downloads / Re: Plants vs Zombies 1 vs 2
« on: June 05, 2017, 04:51:49 AM »
PopCap Games is known for making games that appeal to a mass audience, and perhaps none are more so than Plants vs. Zombies. The cute 'n clever tower defense game has connected with players of all ages and origins. A sequel, then, was inevitable, and after an announcement last year we finally got to see the game in action at E3 last week.

It's unfortunate, however, that much of the discussion around Plants vs. Zombies 2: It's About Time, at least during the game's iOS launch, probably won't be around any of the great new content. There are new zombie enemies, new plants, three new worlds set in different time periods, touchscreen-centric powerups that allow you to throw zombies around or pinch them apart, and even a new "plant food" buff that gives each plant an extra burst of ability when used.

Samsung Galaxy / Re: Issues with fast charging in S7

As technicians, we already have our troubleshooting procedures that we follow when trying to fix problems we donít know what the cause is. So, if you simply told us that your phone just stopped charging one day without apparent reason, then we suggest you follow our troubleshooting guide below.
However, for owners whose phones suffered liquid and physical damage, thereís no need to troubleshoot. Instead, bring your phone immediately to a technician and have it checked.

Tablets (All Models) / Re: Favorite Tablet
« on: June 05, 2017, 04:47:18 AM »
Looking for a tablet and thinking about an Android device? Well, there are other options out there with Windows 10 tablets such as the Surface Pro 4 - but tablets running Android remain the main rival to the iOS 10-toting New iPad, iPad Pro, iPad Pro 9.7 and iPad mini 4.

Lumia / Re: World's Thinnest Windows Phone Device Coming From Yezz

Though it has great specs still the phone is underrated and didn't get the importance under limelight it deserved.

Samsung Galaxy / Re: Samsung Galaxy S8 first look!
« on: June 05, 2017, 04:39:53 AM »
The best-looking phone around crushes it in performance, battery life, water-resistance and wireless charging. An external storage slot lets you keep more photos, videos and music.
Its awkwardly placed fingerprint reader leads to camera smears and longer unlock times, which is aggravating when you use it to unlock your phone dozens of times a day.
The Samsung Galaxy S8's fast speeds and fantastic curved screen make it a top phone for 2017, but the annoying fingerprint reader could sour your experience.

Android OS / Re: Which is better ios or android?
« on: June 05, 2017, 04:38:41 AM »
It is obvious that Android dominates the smartphone market share worldwide by virtue of its presence across wider price brackets, and being offered by a variety of phone makers. Apple has consistently maintained a healthy share of the global market despite having only about a relative minuscule number of devices on sale each year.
